Hola!
It has been a long week, with school every day and a lot of program in the evenings. We have had school every day from 9 pm and since I am truly NOT an early bird, this has been a little challenge for me. But as with everything else here in Berlin - you get used to it eventually.
German is really fun though! It's actually so similar to Swedish and there is a lot of words that are almost the same in both languages. The pronunciation and the grammar is the most difficult part.
The best thing with our school is that you can eat daily lunch for 1-3 euro, and then you can choose between a lot of good dishes! Ich habe ein libelingsessen - das ist kartoffeln mit kotletten! Hast du ein libelingsessen?
We have been doing a lot of fun stuff in our freetime too, I will post some pics here under. Friday was a really fun day; me, Mireia, Marisa, Ana and Kim had a small preparty in my place, we ate some pizza and danced some latino-salsa (even though I will never be able to dance it like the spanish girls - me and Kim were wishing that we could have spanish hips too! ;)). Then we went to Carlotas place and continued prepartying until we went down to the student pub in her dorm. I really like the student life here! You could buy a shot for 50 cent (!!) and the studentpubs are so fun, always crowded with students.
Finally we ended up in Warshauerstrasse at the erasmus-welcome-party in some nightclub, but I guess I has too wasted to even enter the club. We had a fun time though, and came home around 6ish in the morning.
The most funny part was when we were heading for carlotas place and me and Mireia saw a whole football team in the tram, and one of them had an leek (purjolök på svenska, Lauch in German) in his hand. We thought that was really weird (I mean who walks around with an leek at that time of the night??). Then Marisa told us that the football team was Union, but I heard "Onion", and said "that's why they have the leek-onion - it's their maskot!" :D
In school - they also serve dessert EVERY day! Can you imagine, like the best school ever!
We went to Ikea on wednesday, and stayed there for 5 hours! I bought a lot of stuff for my room, and now it looks a little bit nicer. Kim also bought kalles kaviar and swedish knäckebröd, it was nostalgic!
This is how my room looks right now. Still not that fancy but with the carpet and the little light it's okay :)
At the studentpub, Kim, me and Nora learnt this weird german drinking tradition(?).
We went eating pizza yesterday, it was a cozy place with nice techno-music, and it felt a little bit like "Boquerian" or "Kåken" in Stockholm.
Warshauerstrasse and the markets today. They have such a good second-hand market there, and I became a shopaholic. I bought 2 dresses, 2 hats, 1 handbag and 1 shirt. Then we ate lunch in a nice place where you could have dessert as well for 9 €!
Hope you all had a nice weekend as well, and that you will have a nice week! Looking forward to monday *not*!
Puss och kram!
